Notre Oasis d'Outoul
Outoul is a small village of thousand inhabitants every Tuareg. It is also the name of one of the oueds main things coming from the Massif of Hoggar in border of which is settled our Saharan relay. It is situated not far from the airport in border of the transsaharienne in the North of Tamanrasset.

It is a private agricultural property about 4 hectares essentially turned(shot) to the culture of fruit trees (orange trees, lemon trees, apricot trees, pomegranate trees, fig trees, vineyard(vine)) and market gardener so producing "organic" vegetables for the regular consumption. Five gardeners and a shepherd take charge daily of all the plantations and of animals - sheeps, goats, hens, guinea fowls... Our camels as for them, live in the Massif of Hoggar.

If the first vocation of this property was agricultural, since 2000 we voluntarily left Tamanrasset or we accommodated our groups in "campsites". A first slice of 14 independent bungalow, allowed us to receive at home our groups. Nights take place in these small bungalow of architecture of traditional earth. On inquiry we can supply sheets to avoid bringing his(her, its) sleeping bag. Showers of warm water and cold water. Excellent meals prepared by a cook of the camp.

To stay in the touarègue tradition of Hoggar we also have a beautiful "camp" in the middle of trees makes only of touarègues tents in skin, in the internal of which we settled rooms with beds in palm tree, mattresses, sheets blanket, electricity and curtains to protect the intimacy of the travelers: this " village touarègue " allows us a reception of about twenty persons and also to organize at the request of the shows with fokloriques troops of Tamanrasset there.

In January, 2006 after a journey in Niger, we related to the Relay, 6 very beautiful traditional tents of Niger (of chap braided hut) which allowed us to create a new space in the property for a dozen persons.

Bungalows et tentes touaregs ? Outoul
Of very beautiful wooden architecture, "tents" were dressed inside and furnished(furnished flat) with beds made in palms  by craftsmen of Niger.

Finally we are in the final phase of our last space of 6 "malian" chambers of type because it is malian workers on architect's plan that build this new space in the middle of the trees of the plantation, everything in "banco", bricks of ground and wooden traditional roof. All the property is going to be rethought for its irrigation and areas of rest and relaxation. Thanks to all these works we can welcome comfortably from 60 to 80 persons.

Important stores allow us to store foods and thanks to big freezers let us can have important reserves The big material of the journeys: tents, tables, beds, blankets, jerry cans, canteens, generators, are also stored in the Relay
A sanitary space is also under construction with toilets, give a shower to people, give a shower to women (at will warm water), the electric current is the 220 volts. Recently we can phone since Outoul with the mobile phones whether it is towards Tamanrasset or towards Europe (00 213 area code).

The meals take themselves either in the big dining room of the camp looking onto the kitchen garden, or under one of big tempt nomads, or in the middle of the park for special operations, the meals are served on small Round Tables on thick woolen carpet(mat, carpets, mats).
Three persons take charge permanently of this space catering and in rush hour we appeal to our teams of ground.

We liked this progressive development which was dictated by a strong growth of clientele, which comes from Algiers, from Europe, from North America and recently from Asia (China).

We also encourage the local small business crafts with productions by the women of the village of Outoul (basketworks).
Besides we receive more and more a new clientele of stay, avid to find through our Saharan Relay a family welcome, while having the opportunity to make small excursions in Hoggar.
We are in ten minutes on foot of the main road binding us with Tamanrasset and it is easy to take a collective taxi to join the city

The property is populated with numerous free animals of which an attractive small herd of gazelles which are born spot and which in every season we are going to relax in the desert.

The village of Outoul is close to our camp, it is a village to the very welcoming inhabitants who will always indulge to receive you and quite particularly the perfectly French-speaking primary school teacher who will have pleasure to receive you and to speak to you about its village.

This small paradise appears in the middle of the desert is an immense draft of silence and freshness.
